These "mothers-to-be" had found a sunny spot in the shelter of a cedar grove when Doug happened upon them.

Doug entered the original painting in the Society of Canadian Artists' Exhibition "A Sense of Place - Artwork from Coast to Coast" and it received the award for Best in Show!
